Today we worked on a new electronic song, Shotgun. Experimenting with new time signatures, we came up with a few beats in 7/8 time. Its interesting experiment with new time signatures in the sequencer, even though many of our old beats that were programmed in 4/4 are actually in many other time signatures. Using a new time signature forces a change in the thought process of the song, which can lead to some really interesting ideas.
After we decided on a beat we miked up the beater bass guitar on the practice amp with a little bit of saturation and recorded a few bass lines. Vocals will be recorded next time.
